Broadway theatre or simply Broadway is the term used to refer
to theatrical performances performed by professionals in theatres present in
one of the 41 professionally owned theatre located in theatre District and
Lincoln Center. Broadway theatre is considered as one of the highest levels of
theatre activities in the English world. Broadway theatre shows are usually
musical dramas with highly influential stories and songs making it one of the
best tourist attractions of New York City. Most of these theatres have at the
least one award-winning show or sometimes even multiple ones for a single play.
For example, Minskoff theatre plays
Lion King its star show with the highest box office since its premiere in 2006.

Minskoff theatre
Minskoff theatre is located in Broadway, Midtown
Manhattan and is the home to the musical ‘The Lion King’. The theatre is
located on the third floor of One Astar Plaza and is named after Minskoff and
sons, the builder and owner of the building. Since its opening in 1973, the
theatre has been the home to several award winning plays, musicals and concert
performances. The theatre has a seating capacity of 1621.
