A short note on the various auditorium stages


If you are a person who goes to various auditoriums for watching shows like comedy shows, magic shows, orchestra musicals or dramas, then you would noticed that the auditoriums are evolved with different internal as well as external layouts based on the productions that are being presented there. Proscenium stages 
These stages have an architectural frame which is known as the proscenium arch. This is arch is not always constructed in the arch shape always yet this is declared as such arch. The proscenium stages are usually deep and raked too which means the stage is gently sloped rising away from the audience. Even at some cases the front of the stage extends the past of the proscenium into the auditorium. This part of the stage is known as the apron or the forestage. The proscenium arch theatres are often used for orchestras as they provide a pit for performing live music in a flying manner.
Thrust stages
This kind of stages are thrust into the auditorium allowing the audience to sit on the three sides of the stage. The thrust stages usually goes by with its name itself and so the area which is used in these stages are not always in a square shape but it will be kind of semi-circular or half polygon shape with many number of sides. This stages are often used to perform the shows which needs increased interaction between the actors and audience.
